I began this blog between graduation and starting (well, finding) my very first job. In a time of transition, I reached for what was comforting — food, mostly, and writing. As it turned out, I think it was perhaps the very worst timing ever to have started anything requiring even a little bit of consistency. You see, in the last six months, I graduated college, started my first job, moved (twice-ish), and got married.
And way back in June, I also started a food blog, which got a wee bit lost somewhere in there. Cooking in general got lost, due to a sad lack of pans in my life. Bridezilla, unfortunately, succeeded only in being Bridezillay and not in baking. Now, our lives are chock full of pans (for real, it’s a graveyard of wedding presents over here) and given that I am on dinner-duty for most of the week, there are tons of meals and deserts to document — if only I could just buckle down to the documenting.
I also have more time — more time than I want to have? After the bustle of wedding planning and moving and settling in, some of these days can seem looo–ooo-oong. So it must be time to channel that extra energy into something (psuedo-)productive before the ennui (GRE word!) settles in.
So here we go, again. Pardon me the long absence. I am truly hoping no one still has this bookmarked and that I can get some more recipes up before people start stopping by!
